This striking floral pattern is sustainably printed on the finest linen fabric. Inspired by old Norwegian cultural heritage patterns, this design is perfect for cushions, curtains, upholstery and other soft interior furnishings.

In search of inspiration, Gyri looked to traditional Norwegian folk costumes, Bunad. She came across a design on a beautiful piece of Bunad embroidery, from Telemark, dating from the 19th century. Traditionally people wore these colourful folk costumes on festive occasions, and the use of intricate patterns and colours (usually reds, greens, blue and yellow) accessorised with silver jewellery displayed a persons social status.

The pattern was hand painted with watercolours before being printed onto the finest linenblend OEKO-TEX fabric.

Composition: 60% linen 40% cotton

Repeat: 12cm (w) x 20cm (h) / 4.7’’ x 7.8’’

Width: 140cm 

As all the fabrics are printed in small batches variations in colours and textures may occur. Due to the nature of Linen, this base cloth may have natural characteristics that are not defects. Please note that cut fabrics cannot be returned.
