Known as "billedvev," this design dates back to 1700 and reflects international influences brought to Norway by weavers from continental Europe. The intricate motifs of palmettes, lotus, and pomegranate—rare and exotic in 16th-18th century Norway—have been reinterpreted in Thread, blending the elegance of past and present in a breathtaking new form.
